I had a pretty decent experience at the resort. The land transfer from Belize International was lovely, showcasing some beautiful scenery. The cabanas were fine, but there were definitely some minor issues that didn't quite meet expectations. While the view overlooking San Ignacio was amazing and the staff were friendly and accommodating, the slow service at the restaurant was a letdown. Overall, a nice stay but with room for improvement in certain areas.

The cabanas were okay, but they could use a few updates. There was a noticeable paint smell, and while they had nice views, the mattresses were a bit old and the plumbing in the shower was problematic.
Service

The staff were extremely friendly and made booking excursions easy. However, they didn't follow through on a couple of minor requests during my stay.
Location

The resort is perched on a hill with a stunning view over San Ignacio, which was fantastic for exploring the area, especially the nearby Cahal Pech Ruins.
Dining

Dining at the restaurant was quite a wait; it took nearly 2.5 hours for our food to arrive, despite the restaurant not being crowded.
Facilities

The amenities like the pools were really lovely, although some minor improvements would enhance the overall experience.

I had an enjoyable stay at the resort overlooking the beautiful Mayan ruins. The views were absolutely stunning, and the staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The dining options were delicious and affordable, making it easy to eat on-site rather than going down to the town. However, the walk uphill to the town was a bit of a workout, and the shower didn't always have hot water, which was a minor inconvenience.

Rooms

The rooms were simple yet adequate, offering a clean and comfortable stay, complete with a balcony featuring a hammock and nice views. However, the corner room did get quite hot due to all the windows.

My stay was enjoyable with a mix of positives and areas needing improvement. The location offered stunning views and proximity to an ancient Mayan ruin, and I appreciated that the hotel arranged for activities and transportation efficiently. However, I faced some challenges like inconsistency in room amenities, particularly with the A/C and Wi-Fi, which put a damper on an otherwise pleasant experience.

The cabana I stayed in was nice and rustic, but the A/C not working put a damper on my stay. The room had a charming character but wasn’t the most comfortable.
Service

The service was somewhat helpful, though there were moments where they seemed overwhelmed, especially with filling requests promptly.
Location
8.0
The hotel is located high on a hill, providing beautiful views, and it's just a short walk from local culture; however, the distance from the main town made things a bit inconvenient.
Dining

The food was fair but quite expensive compared to local prices. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which was a decent value.

The pool area was nice and well-maintained, providing a good spot to relax despite the room issues.

My recent stay at this hotel had its ups and downs. The view from our room was absolutely stunning and the location near the Cahal Pech ruins was a huge advantage. However, my experience with the service was pretty disappointing, especially at the restaurant where we had to wait ages for our meal and received no compensation for the mix-up. Overall, it’s a mixed bag with some highlights but significant issues that need addressing.

Rooms
7.0
The room was clean and offered a breathtaking view of San Ignacio. However, the beds were uncomfortable, which affected our sleep quality.

While some staff members were friendly and attentive, the service during dinner was frustratingly slow and poorly managed.
Location

The hotel is perched on a hill with fantastic views and only a short walk to the Cahal Pech ruins, making it very convenient for exploration.
Dining
5.0
Dining was a letdown; we had to wait too long for our food, and it was not what we ordered. The lack of compensation for the poor meal experience was disappointing.
Facilities

The pool area was enjoyable for a late afternoon dip, but the limited lounge chairs were a drawback for such a large resort.

We had a wonderful stay at Cahal Pech Resort, with stunning views and great tour organization. The food was decent, but a little pricey, and we found better dining options in the nearby town. Our cabin was spacious and comfortable, but the steep hill to get there was a bit challenging. Overall, it was a great experience, especially with the helpful staff and splendid tours available.

Rooms

The cabin was spacious with a large screened-in porch offering beautiful views, but the strong sewage smells were off-putting.
Service

The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home during our stay.
Location

Cahal Pech is perfectly located near the beautiful ruins and the town, though the steep hill back to the resort can be a challenge.
